Hamburg Heights
Hamburg, Germany

On the district which has been dubbed "Spiegel Island", situated between Dovenfleet, Willy-Brandt-Straße, Zollkanal and Brandstwiete two office tower blocks with heritage status are located, which had been empty since the news magazine SPIEGEL moved out in 2011. Here HOCHTIEF designed and built the new urban quarter of Hamburg Heights. One of the two formerly empty buildings is Height 1, which was refurbished and put to new use as gastronomy and retail trade areas. Furthermore, two additional buildings were built, which aptly and stylistically complement the existing ensemble: An Adina Apartment Hotel (Height 3) and a residential building (Height 5).
