The joint venture “GelreGroen”, consisting of HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions and its partners, will extend the A15 highway in the Netherlands by twelve kilometers and also widen the A12 and the A15 along a route of 23 kilometers through building new lanes. In the course of the construction work 45 bridges, ten road junctions and noise barriers are to be built. The project has a volume of 1.2 billion euros. The concluded contract includes design, construction, operation and maintenance of the highway until 2044. The word “Groen” in the joint venture’s name stands for “Green”, in order to emphasize the sustainable aspects of the project.
